Jonathan Groff the next star to join The Matrix 4

“Mindhunter” star Jonathan Groff is the latest to join the cast of “The Matrix 4”, alongside Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss.

Reeves will be back as Neo, and Moss as Trinity. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is joining the franchise as a lead, and Jada Pinkett Smith will also be back as Niobe. Other new cast include Jessica Henwick and Neil Patrick Harris – who is rumoured to play a villain.

Lana Wachowski will be directing the film for Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow.

Per the Collider report, Groff’s role is being kept under wraps at this stage. He’s also known for voicing Kristoff in Disney’s “Frozen 2”, and playing Jesse St. James in TV’s “Glee”.
