With principal photography now complete, and social media having just about covered every inch of it via endless photos and vlogs from the main cast, one would assume Jordana Brewster isn’t returning for the eighth “Fast and Furious” movie.
With Mia Toretto’s hubby Brian (the late Paul Walker) no longer a part of the franchise, we could presuppose Brewster’s character might have also made her last appearance in a “Fast” movie – after all, how can you have Mia without Brien?
At the same time, Mia is the sister of Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto… so it’d make sense he’d catch up with her at some stage – and not always with her husband in tow.
Asked by /Film about her involvement in the series, Brewster gives a rather interesting response – one that suggests she might indeed be making an appearance in the film (likely in a mid or after credits sequence).
“I’m not really sure what’s happening with my role…. they haven’t decided yet. I cannot say. I cannot reveal.”
Brewster is currently working on Fox’s “Lethal Weapon” series so isn’t stuck for work, but it would be nice to see her back, if even briefly, as Mia.
