Hasbro’s entertainment studio eOne and Paramount are moving forward with the big screen “Transformers” prequel and have hired “Toy Story 4” director Josh Cooley to direct!
According to Deadline, the film focuses takes place on Cybertron, the planet from which the good-guy and bad-guy robots came. The film revolves around the relationship between Optimus Prime and Megatron. The script was written by Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari.
The film is separate from the “Transformers” franchise – including the “Bumblebee” spinoff – but obviously the studios are seeing value in these current times in pushing forward an animated production. And who better than an Oscar nominee to do it with!
The other movies within the franchise are still chugging ahead.
