Judd Apatow will direct and produce a film based loosely on the life of comic Pete Davidson.
The untitled semi-autobiographical comedy is being written by Apatow, Davidson and Dave Sirius.
As Variety reminds us, the Staten Island-born Davidson lost his father, a New York firefighter, in the September 11 attacks. The ex-fiancee of popsinger Ariana Grande was just 8 years old at the time.
Davidson, whose coming-of-age film “Big Time Adolesence” played this week at Sundance, is best known for his work on “Saturday Night Live”.
