While she won’t be returning to “Homecoming”, Julia Roberts will be staying put at Amazon.
According to Deadline, the Pretty Woman is in talks to star in and executive produce a limited series based on Jo Piazza’s novel “Charlotte Walsh Likes to Win”.
Roberts will play the title role, an ex–Silicon Valley exec who moves her family back to her hometown in Pennsylvania so she can run for Senate in a midterm election. Charlotte is blindsided by the messiness of the campaign, and her opponent’s willingness to exploit a secret that threatens everything she holds dear.
