Kate Hudson is a stand-in on Kung Fu Panda 3

Kate Hudson has replaced Rebel Wilson on “Kung Fu Panda 3”, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Wilson was forced to bow out because the production schedule was extended.

The character Hudson replaces her on is Mei Mei, a crazy ribbon-dancing panda who is romantically obsessed with Po.

Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Seth Rogen and Dustin Hoffman are reprising their roles from the earlier films.

J.K. Simmons and Bryan Cranston are among the new additions to the cast.

The sequel, directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson and Alessandro Carloni, is set for January 29, 2016.

This is the first animated movie for Hudson, who is currently shooting Garry Marshall’s “Mother’s Day”.
