Kraven movie inches forward; Joel Kinnaman to star?

Sony, despite having to delay “Venom” sequel “Venom : Let There Be Carnage” and spin-off “Morbius” until 2021, are still continuing to expand on their slate of Marvel films.

Deadline says J.C Chandor (“All is Lost”) is in talks to direct Sony’s “Kraven the Hunter”.  A fictional character appearing in Marvel comics – first popping up in “The Amazing Spider-Man #15 (August 1964) – big-game hunter Kraven is considered one of Spider-Man’s most common foes. To prove himself the world’s greatest hunter, Kraven aims to kill Spider-Man. He’s also one of the founding members of the supervillain team, the Sinister Six.

Interestingly enough, a rumor hit the interwebs a few days ago that Sony are looking to cast a “Joel Kinnaman- type” for the upcoming “Spider-Man : Far From Home” sequel, with fanboys quickly suggesting the role is that of Kraven.

Might the character be making his bigscreen debut in a “Spider-Man’ film before crossing over into a standalone?
