Aaron Pierre, seen recently in M.Night Shyalaman’s “Old” and also known for his role as Dev-Em on TV’s “Krypton”, will lend his lungs to the role of king of the jungle, Mufasa in Disney’s live-action “Lion King” prequel.
The origin tale of Simba’s pop will also feature the vocal stylings of Kelvin Harrison Jr, who is playing Taka.
The Barry Jenkins directed film, still untitled, was scripted by Jeff Nathanson.
The film’s music will be composed by Hans Zimmer, who scored the original and 2019 version, Pharrell, and Nicholas Britell.
