Kyle Chandler joins Taylor Sheridan’s Kingstown

Premiering in November, the series also stars Jeremy Renner

Kyle Chandler has joined the cast of Paramount+’s “Mayor of Kingstown” series.

Premiering November 14, the series fixes on the McLusky family – power brokers in Kingstown, Michigan where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry. Tackling themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality, the series provides a stark look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither.

Chandler, best-known for his role as Coach Eric Taylor on “Friday the Nights”, will play the older brother to star Jeremy Renner.

The award-winning thesp’s involvement was confirmed via Renner’s instagram.

Filming in Toronto, Canada, the new series hails from Academy Award nominee Taylor Sheridan – co-creator of ”Yellowstone”, cable’s most watched show of 2020. Locations in Toronto include Kingston Penitentiary and the new Stratagem Stages, marking Mayor of Kingstown the first production at the stage.

Academy Award winner Dianne Wiest, Emma Laird, Derek Webster, and Taylor Handley also star.

”Mayor of Kingstown” will be executive produced by Sheridan, co-creator Hugh Dillon, Jeremy Renner, Antoine Fuqua, David Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari and Michael Friedman. MTV Entertainment Studios, Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch Productions and 101 Studios will produce.
