Lady Gaga is set to star opposite Bradley Cooper in a remake of “A Star is Born” for Warner Bros.
Cooper will also make his directorial debut on the project, while the role will mark Gaga’s first lead in a feature film. She will also compose and perform new songs for the movie.
Producers are Cooper, Todd Phillips, Jon Peters and Billy Gerber with Basil Iwanyk exec producing.
This film will be the fourth adaptation of “A Star is Born”. The original was made in 1937 by director William A. Wellman with Janet Gaynor and Fredric March starring. In 1954, the Judy Garland and James Mason starer was released followed by a 1976 version with leads Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson.
