Legendary Picture’s Jimi Hendrix film is finally in the works and now Deadline reports director Paul Greengrass is in negotiations to direct.
Legendary has been trying to get a film about the rock icon off the ground for years and has finally reached an agreement with Hendrix’s estate ‘Experience Hendrix’ to get the film underway with their support.
Scott Silver has been hired to write the script with Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, Janie Hendrix, John McDermott and Peter Afterman set to produce. Exec producers are Jillian Share and Josh Bratman.
The movie will feature the music of the man at the centre of the film, regarded by many to be one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
