Magnum in Vegas!

Tom Selleck joins the cast of “Las Vegas”

It’s a HUGE day for news today.

Tom Selleck – still one of the best actors around, in my opinion – is returning to series television.

The 80s icon and star of “Magnum P.I” will replace Jimmy Caan on TVs “Las Vegas”, says E! Online.

The 62-year-old actor – star of such hits as “Three Men and a Baby” and “In and Out” – will take on the role of a charismatic self-made billionaire with a mysterious past who takes over ownership of the fictional Montecito Resort & Casino.

“We have been honored and blessed to have had an actor of the magnitude of James Caan for the last four years and we’ve come up with four aces as legendary icon Tom Selleck has agreed to join the cast,” executive producer Gary Scott Thompson said in a press release.

Caan will appear in the season opener next season, and then pass the baton onto ol’ Thomas Magnum.
