Disney has sent over an announcement for their “Maleficent” sequel, now titled “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil”, according to the presser.
The Angelina Jolie-starrer, originally due to open May 29, 2020, will now work it’s magic on audiences October 18th 2019.
Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple, and Lesley Manville return from the original, with Michelle Pfeiffer, Ed Skrein, Harris Dickinson, and Chiwetel Ejiofor joining the troupe. Joachim Rønning (“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales”) directs from a screenplay by Linda Woolverton, Micah Fitzerman-Blue, and Noah Harpster.
