Margot Robbie is Barbie!

Hot on the heels of Amy Schumer’s exit, real-life blonde bombshell Margot Robbie has put pinkie to dotted line, agreeing to take over the “Snatched” star’s lease at the Barbie’s Dream House.

Robbie, fresh from her fun, icy turn as Tonya Harding, will play the plastic beauty made famous by a boxed Mattel offering. Anne Hathwaway was mentioned as a possible replacement for Schumer a few months back. Nothing eventuated there.

The “I, Tonya” star will produce the film, now housed at Warner Bros after exiting former home Sony, through her LuckyChap banner.

With all the changes, no surprise that the film has been significantly delayed. It was originally due to hit theaters in August of this year but won’t open now until May 8, 2020, before the rights to Barbie revert back to Mattel a few months later.

While fellow WB-darling Patty Jenkins (“Wonder Woman”) is rumoured to be circling the project no substantive talks have taken place, says THR.

Before she takes that pink sportscar for a cruise, Robbie will be seen in Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” and “Birds of Prey”, reprising her Harley Quinn role.
