Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn out of next Suicide Squad

It is broke, so they gots to fix it.

Margot Robbie won’t be back for James Gunn’s “Suicide Squad” reboot, according to Forbes, who suggest the skimpy-clothed scene-stealer from David Hayter’s 2016 film won’t be reprising Harley Quinn for many of the films she was already intended to be a part of.

Robbie, currently filming “Birds of Prey”, will also not be involved in “Gotham City Sirens” or “Batgirl” – two other films that are on Warner’s dance card. The “Joker & Harley” movie that was originally due to reunite Robbie and Jared Leto, resurrecting their toxic “Suicide Squad” relationship, is also no longer on the cards.

It’s less to do with Robbie and more to do with the DCEU who, after the success of “Aquaman”, are intending to steer clear of any pre-Arthur Curry superhero film that didn’t set the box office on fire. The new “Suicide Squad”, for one, won’t share any connections with the original – and that includes featuring all new characters.
