Marvel on the hunt for new Wolverine

It was always gonna happen. Just a matter of when.

With the Disney and Fox merger nearly done, expect to soon start seeing some of the latter’s super-folk popping up in Disney projects – whether that be in “Avengers” films, or in freshly-painted redo’s, or in the case of a popular ‘X-Men’ character, on the box.

According to We Got This Covered, Marvel are looking at bringing everyone’s favorite cigar-chomping mutant to the small screen…. and without Hugh Jackman wearing the dog-tags.

The ‘Wolverine’ series, which would be produced for Disney’s Disney Plus streaming service, is merely one idea being tossed around for shows relating to the X-Men universe. Disney are reportedly quite keen to give the brand a new coat of paint.

Jackman won’t be bothered that his trademark character is returning without his face, he officially retired from the character with last year’s “Logan”.
“When I saw Deadpool, I was like, wow that’s cool,” the Australian actor told MTV. “It’s just a matter of time. It’s a bit like you’re at the greatest party you’ve ever been at, you’ve been dancing for an hour and a half, and then you’re just like ‘It’s time, ok. If I stay any longer, it’s gonna get ugly.’ It’s like, it’s time.”

Expect to hear more about Disney’s plans for the Fox properties it’ll own closer to March, when the merger is believed to be done.
