Director Matt Reeves has officially announced the start of production on the highly-anticipated “The Batman”.
Starring Robert Pattinson in the title role, the shoot kicked off a few days back in the UK.
In the film, Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne aka Batman goes up against a ‘rogue’s gallery’ of classic ”Batman” villains, including Catwoman (Zoe Kravitz), The Penguin (Colin Farrell), The Riddler (Paul Dano) and Carmine Falcone (John Turturro). Other players include Peter Sarsgaard, Andy Serkis (As Alfred), Geoffrey Wright (as Jim Gordon), and Alex Kerns (Commissioner Pete Savage).
Interesting couple of tidbits that dropped on Batman on Film over the weekend regarding Pattinson’s costume and car, too : Bruce Wayne will be making his own Batman costume – so don’t expect something full of gadgets and all hi-tech! – and his ride also won’t be anything flash, it’ll be a ‘muscle car’ – albeit one “that’s totally upgraded and decked out.”
