Aussie actor Ben Mendelsohn has been linked to “Star Wars Anthology : Rogue One” – the first of the new standalone “Star Wars” movies, this one to be directed by Gareth Evans – for a couple of months now. But according to the “Bloodline” star, despite his interest in the movie, no deal has been made.
Speaking to Deadline, the in-demand actor said : “Well… I know that it’s something that’s being talked about. That’s what I definitely know. I’m waiting for them to call me and say, “Hey, here’s the start date,” but you know, none of that’s yet taken place, but you know I’d be very happy to do it, let’s put it that way.”
Mendlesohn is rumoured to be up for the villain of the piece. The film has so far locked in thesps Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed and Forest Whitaker. It’s out 16, December 2016.
