There’s been a few names thrown about for Tim Burton’s upcoming take on Disney’s “Dumbo”, with Colin Farrell, Eva Green and Danny Devito allegedly in talks to join the cast.

Variety reports that Michael Keaton is in talks to jump aboard the live-action movie to play the villain. In the original cartoon, the character acquires the circus from the Ringmaster (which could be Devito), and exploits the poor giant-eared Dumbo and his mother.

The film joins a long list of live-action reboots, including the recent “Beauty and the Beast”, and upcoming “The Lion King”.

Keaton’s first taste at movie fame was coincidentally in another Tim Burton production “Beetlejuice”. nearly 30 years ago, which is also in talks regarding a sequel. He was also the title character in Burton’s “Batman” (1989) and “Batman Returns” (1992). More recently, he starred in “The Founder”, “Birdman” and “Spotlight”. Keaton is also playing villain Vulture in the upcoming “Spider-Man: Homecoming”.
