More big names in talks to join The Batman!

Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” is set to be quite the star-studded affair, with two new names popping into the ring. Andy Serkis and Colin Farrell are reportedly in talks to join the cast, to play Alfred Pennyworth and Penguin, respectively.

Deadline reports that Farrell is in negotiations to join Reeves’ film, which has Robert Pattinson as the titular hero, Paul Dano as The Riddler and Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman. Serkis is also in talks, per a report from The Wrap.

Penguin is one of Batman’s biggest enemies, a Gotham City mobster and crime boss, whereas Alfred is the polar opposite in Bruce Wayne’s loyal butler, legal guardian, best friend and moral compass.

The cast is shaping up to be pretty spectacular, with all choices making a lot of sense – and making it a film to look forward to, after “Justice League” crashed and burned and likely disappointed a lot of Bat-Fans.

“The Batman” will be released on June 25, 2021.
