More new Star Wars images released by Vanity Fair

Vanity Fair is becoming our new source of new “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” images, with the magazine putting some new ones on their Instagram today.

There is a gorgeous shot of Carrie Fisher in costume as General Leia Organa with daughter Billie Lourd, who plays Lieutenant Kaydel Connix. We also get a look at Laura Dern as her character Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo, and Daisy Ridley in action as Rey.

They’ve also put a bunch on their website, which all look amazing and give a good insight into the intricacies of the characters.

Carrie Fisher’s death may leave #TheLastJedi unaffected, but it changes the course of the entire #StarWars universe. For writer-director @RianCJohnson, it was surprising how much leeway he was given to cook up the action of #TheLastJedi from scratch: “The pre-set was Episode VII, and that was kind of it.” Among his inventions for the latest #StarWars saga? Photographer Annie Leibovitz has been shooting the familiar faces of #StarWars for nearly 40 years. With a relationship that long, even the highly secretive Lucasfilm is inclined to let her take a peek or two behind the curtain.
