More proof Michael J.Fox Show won’t be back; his co-star joins new show

If the writing wasn’t already on the wall – courtesy those ratings – news that one of The Michael J.Fox’s stars is joining a new sitcom would definitely suggest the NBC sitcom is no more.

Wendell Peirce, who plays Fox’s friend and work buddy on the struggling laffer, has been cast in CBS’s new “Odd Couple” reboot starring Matthew Perry and Thomas Lennon. Pierce will play a neurotic cop and friend to Perry’s Felix, who comes around once a week for ‘game night’.

Peirce, also known for his roles on “The Wire” and “Treme”, was one of the highlights of “The Michael J.Fox Show” which was recently yanked off air – eight episodes before it’s season ender.
