With the HBO newsroom drama about to begin production on its final season, “The Newsroom” star Emily Mortimer is looking to book her next project.
Mortimer is in talks to star opposite James Badge Dale in Legendary’s “Spectral”.
Nic Mathieu will direct the pic about a special-ops team that is dispatched to fight supernatural beings that have taken over New York City.
The sci-fi thriller will also star Max Martini and Cory Hardrict with Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni producing. Jillian Share and Guy Riedel will exec produce.
Ian Fried penned the original script with a recent rewrite by John Gatins and George Nolfi.
