Netflix scores Zac Efron’s Ted Bundy film

Netflix has paid a cool $9m for “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile”, the Zac Efron film about Ted Bundy. Director Joe Berlinger already has a docuseries on the streaming platform – “Conversations With a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes” – which has proven to be very popular with audiences.

“Extremely Wicked” chronicles the crimes of Ted Bundy (Efron) from the perspective of his longtime girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer, who refused to believe the truth about him for years. Lily Collins plays Kloepfer, while Haley Joel Osment, Kaya Scodelario, John Malkovich, Jim Parsons and Angela Sarafyan also star.

No word yet when the film will hit the platform, as the dealmaking is still in progress. News via The Hollywood Reporter.
