MTV has posted a new behind-the-scenes featurette of Benjamin Walker in Timur Bekmambetov adaptation of “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter”, based on the novel by Seth Grahame-Smith.
In the film, out June 22 in 3D, here’s the synopsis:
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter explores the secret life of our greatest President, and the untold story that shaped our nation. Visionary filmmakers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (director of “Wanted”) bring a fresh and visceral voice to the blood-thirsty lore of the vampire, imagining Lincoln as history’s greatest hunter of the undead.
Benjamin Walker stars as the title character, along with Dominic Cooper, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Anthony Mackie, Rufus Sewell, Alan Tudyk, Jimmi Simpson and Robin McLeavy.
We got our first look at Walker as Honest Abe just a couple of days ago, and while some people might say Walker’s makeup doesn’t come close to how Daniel Day-Lewis looks in Spielberg’s “Lincoln”, I’m looking more forward to a trailer already. Then again, the tone to both films are completely different. Pictures are nice and all, but it’s time for us to see some action.
