As we creep closer to the Boxing Day release date for the second “Hobbit” film, another TV spot from “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” has been released by Warner Bros.
The upcoming film in the “Hobbit” trilogy sees Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) and his rag-tag band of dwarves squaring off against the fearsome dragon Smaug (voiced by Benedict Cumberlatch) in order to retrieve a prized item that will help them reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.
Joined by the eponymous Gandalf the Grey (Ian McKellen) and leader of the Dwarves, Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage), the group soon realize that as a devastating force of nature, Smaug is a fearsome beast and not one to be trifled with.
Orlando Bloom will also appear to reprise his role of the dreamy Elven warrior Legolas, with Evangeline Lily to feature as Tauriel, bodyguard to the Elven King.
“The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” hits cinemas in the U.S. on December 13th and in Australia on Boxing Day.
