Jonah Hill has replaced Jesse Eisenberg in “Arms and the Dudes”, the Todd Phillips’ directed action-comedy about two stoners from Miami Beach who ended up becoming arms dealers for the U.S. government. Bradley Cooper is one of the producers on the project. (The Hollywood Reporter)

The Tina Fey/Amy Poehler comedy previously known as “The Nest” has been retitled “Sisters” (Variety)

Matthew Vaughn (“Kick-Ass”) will produce adaptations of the YA series “Ghostgirl”. The series is “a school set satire telling the tale of one Charlotte Usher, a girl who feels invisible and then one day dies after choking on a gummy bear. The books detail her new undead life and her unwillingness to let go of her very much alive high school crush.” (The Hollywood Reporter)

“The Crow” reboot has yet another director : Corin Hardy. The music video director will make his feature directorial debut on the movie. (Deadline)

Chadwick Boseman says “Black Panther” is yet to lure a director. “There’s a director on the movies that I’m introduced, but not for ‘Black Panther’. Just being a part of that discussion is huge. You’re reading the comic books and you have ideas about how that’s gonna happen and you can discuss that.” (Variety)

Ridley Scott hasn’t ruled himself out of directing “Blade Runner 2” at all – he’s just not sure yet. “I don’t know about [not directing ‘Blade Runner 2’] yet. The script is very, very good. Very good. I wouldn’t know [what sort of director we’d want]. It’s a hard one to track because it’s a very personal piece of my work. [‘Blade Runner’] may be one of the most personal pieces I did. I got so beaten up for it, I said I’d never try that again. But here we are. It’s sitting there ready to be made.” (Yahoo!)

The Tolkien estate owns the writings of Professor Tolkien – The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings were sold by Professor Tolkien the late 60s… the film rights. But they are the only two works of his that have been sold. So without the cooperation of the Tolkien estate, there can’t be more films.” (The Hollywood Reporter)

Ridley Scott will produce the film, which “is set after an oil tanker collision in the Persian Gulf sets off an international crisis.
