Four Australian films have been selected to screen at the 2014 South By Southwest (SXSW) Film Conference and Festival in Austin, Texas. Writer/directors Michael and Peter Spierig’s ”Predestination”, directors Angus Sampson and Tony Mahony’s ‘‘The Mule”, and writer/director Hugh Sullivan’s ”The Infinite Man” will have their world premiere screenings. Kitty Green’s feature documentary ‘‘Ukraine Is Not a Brothel” will also screen at the festival.

Meanwhile, both Perry Reeves (‘Mrs Ari’) and Constance Zimmer (‘Dana Gordon’) have officially joined the production.

David O.Russell and Jennifer Lawrence look to reunite for a movie based on Jay Mangano, a struggling Long Island mother who achieved staggering success with her Miracle Mop invention. Annie Mumolo, the co-writer of “Bridesmaids”, wrote the script. The project is housed by Fox2000. (Deadline)

Neil Marshall (“The Descent”) will direct the pilot episode of NBC’s “Constantine”, while Charles McDougall (“Desperate Housewives”) will helm the “Secrets & Lies” pilot (Deadline)

Get ready for “Sharknado : The Second One”, which begins filming shortly in Manhattan for a July airing on SyFy. Ian Ziering, Tara Reid and director Anthony Ferrante all return. (Deadline)

Bruce Willis, Kate Hudson, Danny McBride, Shia LaBeouf and Zooey Deschanel have joined “Rock the Kasbah”, starring Bill Murray. (Deadline)

Universal has skedded a number of their upcoming films – among them, ”Pitch Perfect 2′‘ opening May 15, 2015, and Baltasar Kormakur’s “Everest”, which is set for February 27, 2015, The full list is here.

To protect her unborn child, she sets out to uncover the truth about what is haunting her as her husband becomes increasingly concerned for her well-being.” (Deadline)
