A few pics from the Croatian set of “The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard” starring Samuel L.Jackson and Ryan Reynolds have hit the net.

In the snaps, published by The Daily Mail, Jackson’s hitman Darius Kincaid seems to be giving bodyguard Michael Bryce a bit of a pummeling.

The sequel to “The Hitman’s Bodyguard” (2017) also stars Salma Hayek, Frank Grillo, Morgan Freeman, Antonio Banderas, Tom Hopper, Richard E.Grant and Tomi May.  The movie, directed by the original’s Patrick Hughes, will also lens in Italy, Bulgaria and the United Kingdom.

DiCaprio and Del Toro could be working together

The ever-reliable Leonardo DiCaprio is in talks to join “Nightmare Alley”, which has Guillermo del Toro directing. Del Toro also co-wrote the script with Kim Morgan.

The film is based on the William Lindsay Gresham novel of the same name, rather than the 1947 Fox pic. The 1947 movie starred Tyrone Power as an ambitious young con-man who teams up with a female psychiatrist who is even more corrupt than he is. At first, they enjoy success fleecing people with their mentalist act, but then she turns the tables on him, out-manipulating the manipulator.

Del Toro is still filling out the roles, and will likely shoot in the later half of the year.

“Nightmare Alley” will be Del Toro’s next film following the Oscar-winning “The Shape of Water”, and DiCaprio is next set to star in Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” this July.

Stephen King fans, get excited as there’s another adaptation on the way! “Salem’s Lot” is being developed by New Line Cinema into a big screen production, based on the novel by King from 1975.

James Wan, Roy Lee and Mark Wolper are set to produce, with Gary Dauberman (“IT”) to write the script. “Salem’s Lot” will be Dauberman’s sixth theatrical collaboration with New Line.

Tobe Hooper previously adapted the novel into a TV movie in 1979, and a miniseries was released in 2004. “Salem’s Lot” follows a writer who returns to the town of Jerusalem’s Lot, where he lived as a young boy, only to discover everyone he used to know is now a vampire.

Ben Affleck to direct and star in Ghost Army

Batman star to go back to WWII

Ben Affleck is headed back to WWII, with the star set to direct and star in “Ghost Army” for Universal Pictures.

The film is based on the Rick Beyer & Elizabeth Sayles book titled “The Ghost Army of World War II: How One Top-Secret Unit Deceived the Enemy with Inflatable Tanks, Sound Effects, and Other Audacious Fakery”. It’s safe to say that “Ghost Army” is a more succinct title. Nic Pizzolato wrote the script, which is also based on the Netflix doco “Ghost Army”.

Per the Deadline report, “Ghost Army” tells the story of a secret force that relied on sleight of hand and illusion to trick the Nazis in 1944. A group of soldiers including future luminaries Bill Blass, Ellsworth Kelly, Arthur Singer, Victor Dowd, Art Kane and Jack Masey landed in France to conduct a secret mission. Armed with truckloads of inflatable tanks and a massive collection of sound-effects records, they created the illusion of troop strength on European battlefields to trick the Germans into deploying forces in the wrong places.

The secret force of 1,100 men of the 23rd Headquarters Special Troops — the Ghost Army — dragged duffel bags of drawings and paintings through France and other European cities to stage phony convoys, phantom divisions and make-believe headquarters to fool the enemy about the strength and location of American units. The campaign is credited with saving thousands of American lives.

Affleck will also produce under his banner Pearl Street Films alongside Andrew Lazar and his Mad Chance Productions banner. Pearl Street Films’ Madison Ainley will be executive producer.
