Oberyn Martell heads to Space for The Mandlorian!

Pedro Pascal (“Game of Thrones”) is a lock to star in Disney+’s upcoming “Star Wars” series, “The Mandalorian”, Variety reported today.

Though Pascal’s name had been floated as a possible lead, this is the first news on a concrete sanction. According to sources for the trade, the actor was one of several actors being considered for the part.

Jon Favreau penned the series, which is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. It follows the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

The series, which “Rocky” fave Carl Weathers might also be involved in, will feature episodes directed by Dave Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, and Deborah Chow. Jon Favreau serves as executive producer.

Hulu will have their own Game of Thrones next year
