Paul Thomas Anderson is set to pen the script for Warner Bros’ upcoming live-action “Pinocchio” adaptation, with Robert Downey Jr. set to star as Geppetto.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Anderson has also got his eye on directing the film which Downey has been developing for years.
Michael Mitnick penned the latest draft, from previous drafts by Bryan Fuller and Jane Goldman.
The story about the wooden puppet who wants to become a real human boy is of course based on the novel by Carlo Collodi.
