Pauly Shore says Encino Man 2 might happen

Pauly Shore is trying to drum up interest in an “Encino Man” sequel.

The ’90s pop culture icon tells Variety that he’s been talking to his reps about trying to get one off the ground.

“’Encino Man 2’—let’s do it,” Shore told the trade. “My agent and I are talking about it.”

Whether or not Shore’s co-stars Sean Astin and Brendan Fraser are aware of it? Doubtful. But Shore did say that the film’s screenwriter Shawn Schepps did have an idea for a sequel – she just has to write it.

“I think it would be fun,” Shore said, while walking the red carpet of the Chris Rock movie “Top Four” on Wednesday night. “It was a cute movie.”

To aid in his mission to get the film to the greenlight stage, Shore requests readers to “Just Tweet at Brendan and Sean Astin and Disney.”

A telemovie spin-off of the original film, “Encino Woman”, was released in. Anyone see it?
