Peter from “Office Space” is Barry Allen’s Dad. Perfect!

“Office Space” and “The Conjuring” actor Ron Livingston will play Henry Allen in Warner Bros’ upcoming “The Flash”.

Livingston, also known for his role on HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire”, steps in for Billy Crudup, who was expected to reprise the role he originated in 2016’s “Justice League”. Scheduling conflicts with Apple TV’s “The Morning Show” saw Crudup forced to exit.

Production for “The Flash” had been postponed due to the pandemic and is expected to begin sometime this year.

Henry Allen, Barry’s father, was last seen in prison – where, as comic book fans know, he’s been erroneously charged with the murder of his late wife.

In addition to Ezra Miller, who plays Barry Allen/The Flash, the Andy Muschietti directed film will also star Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, Ben Affleck as Batman, Michael Keaton as Batman from the 1989 pic, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, and Ian Loh, who has been cast as a young Barry. Saoirse-Monica Jackson and Rudy Mancuso have also been cast in unspecified roles.

“The Flash” will hit theaters on Nov. 4, 2022.
