Picard renewed for a second season

Ahead of the series debut in January, CBS All Access has greenlit “Star Trek : Picard” for a second season.

The show, which features Sir Patrick Stewart as his beloved “Next Generation” character, was developed by ”Star Trek: Discovery” co-creator and executive producer Alex Kurtzman.

The first season features appearances from “Trek” faves including Brent Spiner as Data, Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine, Marina Sirtis as Commander Deanna Troi and Jonathan Frakes as Riker.

The first season of “Picard” debuts on CBS All Access January 23 and worldwide on Amazon Prime January 24.
