Queen Latifah is The Equalizer

With “Magnum P.I” and “MacGyver” back on the air, and a “Miami Vice” revival said to be in the works, no surprise to hear that CBS are bringing back ’80s classic “The Equalizer”.

Queen Latifah will star in and executive produce the new take, taking over from Edward Woodward (who played the title role in the 1985-1989 version) as an enigmatic figure who uses her extensive skills to help those with nowhere else to turn.

Denzel Washington recently starred in two films based on the property.

“Castle” duo Andrew Marlowe and Terri Miller will serve as writers, executive producers, and showrunners on the new series.
