Rachel McAdams wants in on Mean Girls sequel

“Mean Girls” star Rachel McAdams would be keen to reprise Regina George for a sequel to ’90s cult classic “Mean Girls”.

The actress, appearing in the Heroes of Health: COVID-19 livestream where she was thanking health care workers fighting against the ongoing coronavirus health crisis, told fans she would be up for it!

“It would be fun to play Regina George later in her life and see where life took her!” the 41-year-old actress said of her bitchy character.

“Let’s hope Mean Girls has helped girls to be nicer to each other, not the other way around,” she said.

“It’s really bizarre. I feel really lucky to have been a part of something that’s stuck around, even a little bit. That was never anything I imagined happening in life. So yeah, it’s strange and surreal still,” she said.

Co-star Lindsay Lohan is said to have written a treatment for a sequel and has been trying to convince original writer Tina Fey to get involved.
