A recent rumour suggested the next “Expendables” film will be a spin-off anchored by Jason Statham’s character from the first three films. While Sylvester Stallone would be a part of the film, his role will be that of a supporting one.
Out plugging his new film “Final Kill”, Randy Couture was asked about the status of the new film. Considering he has a script, and is privy to updates on the production, sounds like Couture’s Toll Road is a lock to return.
The fighter and actor tells The Action Elite, “ I got a script last year and really enjoyed reading it. It was very well done but where we are on the production scale and getting it moving I’m not sure. There are a lot of things going on behind the scenes with the producer to make a film that big so I’m hoping this Spring we get the greenlight but I’m not hearing anything definitive right now.”
Further, Couture said he’s attached to star in a new film called “Dark Angel” – which he hopes Michael Jai White will also be in.
“I can tell you that this is a supernatural thriller where all the female characters from every major religion in humankind come together. They’re kind of fast tracking bad people to Hell so it’s gonna be fun.”
