Newcomer Daniela Melchior looks to be joining the cast of James Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad”.
The 22 year-old actress would play Ratcatcher in the Warner Bros project, joining troupe newies John Cena and Idris Elba, with series staple Margot Robbie reprising her role as Harley Quinn as well as Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang
Variety, who have the scoop on the Portugese actress’s anointment, remind us that “Ratcatcher was originally portrayed as a man who was one of Batman’s many enemies” in the comics.
The film, which Gunn is writing and directing, hits theaters on Aug. 6, 2021.
