Ryan Reynolds has inked a deal with Lionsgate to star in his first rom-com since 2009’s “The Proposal”.
“Shotgun Wedding” will center on a couple whose extravagant destination wedding is hijacked by criminals. In the process of saving their families, they rediscover why they fell in love in the first place.
The action-comedy will be directed by Jason Moore (“Pitch Perfect”) and be scripted by Mark Hammer. Liz Meriwether will also collaborate on the screenplay. Reynolds is also a producer on the project.
