The Rise of Skywalker : Another old favorite to return!?

We’ve heard this a couple of times now, so there could be something to it – – or it’s a rumor that’ll disappear quicker than a donut at a bingo hall.

We know already, thanks to a surprise-heavy “Rise of Skywalker” trailer and an eager beaver Kathleen Kennedy, that the condom full of prunes returns in the ninth “Star Wars” film- -but is there another old favorite, still unannounced, also collecting a fat check for a reprise in the Christmas release?

According to the oft-reliable Making Star Wars, Harrison Ford may have taken on another han job- as in, the cocky smuggler we last saw mid-flight in “The Force Awakens” might be back for a quick “how’s Ma?” in Episode IX.

“I was at a reading late last night in Los Angles and a chance encounter allowed me to see evidence that Harrison Ford filmed a sequence for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”,  says the site. “Harrison Ford appears to be in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in a newly filmed moment with Adam Driver. I immediately began digging deeper and I was able to pull out disparate facts about the sequence in which Harrison Ford returns as Han Solo.”

Several different sources have filled the site in with the 411 on Solo’s comeback – – and this is what they’ve surmised of the appearance :

  • The main sequence takes place between Adam Driver and Harrison Ford or Kylo Ren and Han Solo.
  • One source called it a surprise intervention of sorts.
  • A source that did not work on or see the sequence believed it takes place when Kylo Ren asks the burned Darth Vader helmet to show him the darkness again.
  • Luke Skywalker appears to be the twist in the encounter.
  • The source was paraphrasing but Han Solo tells Ben Solo it isn’t too late and the sequence has a tone of forgiveness and understanding to it.
  • He’s not a “force ghost” in the classic sense and he’s part of a “vision” or “dream” type moment induced by Luke Skywalker.

So, if there’s truth to this nugget, sounds like Ren might indeed get back on Santa’s nice list by the end of the film.
