EGOT-winner Rita Moreno (“West Side Story”) has been cast to play Vin Diesel’s on-screen grandmother in the tenth “Fast & Furious” film.
Diesel announced the news on his Instagram, declaring what a dream it is to work with the 90-year-old actress.
“It’s been my dream forever to work with Rita Moreno, and the fact that she’s here playing my grandmother makes my soul smile,” Diesel said. “I’m so blessed.”
Louis Letterier is directing “Fast X”, which is set for a May 19, 2023 release.
