Though initially designed to be a standalone, there’s a good chance we’ll see a sequel to Todd Phillips’ “Joker”.
“We’re keeping our fingers crossed that a great script comes in and we see a Joker 2”, Village Roadshow Entertainment Group CEO Steve Mosko tells The Hollywood Reporter, adding that the company is also interested in pursuing further “Matrix” sequels after 2021’s fourth instalment.
The trade announced last year that a sequel to the 2017 hit was in early development with both director Philips and star Joaquin Phoenix expected to return.
