Robertson, Quaid, Lipton help fulfill A Dog’s Purpose

Britt Robertson (“Tomorrowland”) and Dennis Quaid (“InnerSpace”) will headline Lasse Hallstrom’s film adaptation of the popular novel “A Dog’s Purpose”, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Set up with DreamWorks and Walden Media, “Purpose” fixes on a dog that is reincarnated several times but whose constant mission is to being reunited with his original owner and best friend.

Robertson plays a high schooler who falls for the high school quarterback, while Quaid is playing the football star as an older man.

“Twin Peaks” alum Peggy Lipton is amongst the supporting cast.

Production begins on “A Dog’s Purpose” this month in Winnipeg, Canada.
