Ron Howard to direct Robert Downey Jr. in Pinocchio

Ron Howard is attached to direct Warner Bros.’ live action “Pinocchio” film, The Tracking Board reports.

Robert Downey Jr. is on board to play Geppetto in the film based on the classic Carlo Collodi story.

Producers are Howard and Brian Grazer for their Imagine baner, Dan Jinks of The Dan Jinks Company and Team Downey’s Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Downey.

Howard replaces Paul Thomas Anderson who exited the project last fall.
