Rosamund Pike has signed on to star opposite Christian Bale in writer/director Scott Cooper’s “Hostiles”.
The film is based on Donald Stewart’s nearly 30 year old script which is set in 1892 and follows “a legendary Army captain who agrees to escort a dying Cheyenne war chief and his family back to tribal lands. Pike will play a widow who undertakes the harrowing and perilous journey after the murder of her family on the plains” (via Deadline).
Cooper, John Lesher and Ken Kao are producing. Production will begin in July.
