The CW’s new Arrowverse sprog, “Batwoman”, has been greenlit for a full season.
The Berlanti Productions effort, starring Ruby Rose in the cowl she originated on the Arrow-verse crossover event ‘Elseworlds’, has had a golden run since its conception. There was no way in Gotham it was going to miss out on a spot, after the rave reactions to its existence and Rose’s turn on the crossover.
As part of the solidification, the network has released a 20-second teaser, logo and synopsis for “Batwoman”. You can also start following Bruce’s cuz on Twitter!
Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate Kane (star Ruby Rose) soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence. But don’t call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope.
