Despite what sounds like a fairly nasty split, Ruby Rose says she’s open to reprising Kate Kane on “Batwoman” in the future.
The Australian actress, who walked away from The CW series after just one season, says if it made sense she’d definitely consider reprising her OG Batwoman on the show. Having said that, Rose does believe the show should focus on developing Javicia Leslie’s new Batwoman character Ryan Wilder.
Rose tells Comic Book Movie : “I mean, I’m obviously moving on to other roles as I think I’ve done about three films since. I would totally do it. I don’t think it would serve the story because I think building the new Batwoman is more important than going back too far into Kate Kane, but of course I would, I would absolutely do anything they wanted as far as that [Laughs]. I haven’t watched the whole thing, but I’ve watched a couple of episodes, and I think how they’re handling it is beautiful. I think it’s her time to shine.”
In the second season opener, Rose’s Kate Kane was said to have been killed in a plane explosion. It was later revealed that Kane might have survived the boom though and Wilder has since been looking into the character’s mysterious disappearance.
