Rules of Attraction trio regroup for Post Empire

“Rules of Attraction” trio Bret Easton Ellis, Roger Avary, and James Van Der Beek are reuniting for a new dramedy starring the latter.

Says Deadline :

[Post Empire is] a six-episode darkly comedic hour. Created by James Van Der Beek, Roger Avery and Bret Easton Ellis, the project stars Van Der Beek as an American “Bernie Madoff” type in the UK as he juggles his investors while his world starts to collapse.

Van Der Beek won raves for his portrayal of Sean Bateman in “Rules of Attraction”, based on the book by Ellis.
