Just because the TV take didn’t, er, take don’t count out the Rush Hour movie series yet.

Jackie Chan today to suggest a fourth film could be finally inching forward – assumingly since co-star Chris Tucker (and without series director Brett Ratner).

“We’re talking about part 4 right now,” The Armour of God star told the Red Sea film festival crowd, via Deadline, adding that he was going to meet with the film’s director this evening to discuss the script. He did not identify said director.

It’s been a few years since Tucker mentioned that he and Chan were looking at reteaming for a fourth instalment of New Line’s action-comedy franchise.

Chan got tongues wagging in 2018 when he appeared on The View and mentioned he was meeting up with the action hero in Beverly Hills to discuss the possibility of reviving the franchise.

“We were talking about some stuff so we’re thinking about doing something like that,” the funnyman said at the time.

Jon Foo and Justin Hires played the leads in the Rush Hour series at CBS.
