A few days back Deadline mentioned that Sarah Michelle Gellar was being courted to reprise her role as Kathryn Merteuil in the TV series sequel to the 1999 movie.
According to the actress herself (via a Twitter post), she has officially signed on to reprise the role for the small screen.
The series will follow Kathryn Merteuil — Gellar’s character — as she vies for control of Valmont International as well as the soul of Bash Casey, the son of her step-brother, the late Sebastian Valmont (Ryan Phillippe in the film), and Annette Hargrove (Reese Witherspoon in the film).
